Help with some Latin phrases please? Hiya, I am thinking about getting another latin tattoo (I already have 'Ad astra per aspera' on my left wrist) I was looking at a few latin phrases, but wanted some tranlation confirmation before I get something permanently inked on my other wrist! The phrases I am thinking of are: 1)Deo adjuvante non timendum 2)Deo Vindice 3)Deo ac veritati or 4)Deus Vobiscum I would be grateful if someone could tell me what they think each of these phrases means in english I would appreciate it, just so I can check it against what I have it down to mean, so I know I have the right meaning. Thankyou very much in advance, and I will let you know which one I decide upon!!!! Erica

Narrowing down Latin phrases? Hi :) Recently I asked a question about possible translations for a tattoo in latin I was considering. In English, the tattoo would read: "For wherever I may travel, my heart will be the path." Several of you (dollhaus, moonlight roma, and martox45) were kind enough to provide me with some translations -thank you. However, the translations vary somewhat from each other, and I was wondering what the difference was. Are some translations in different styles of latin, or different dialects, or what? The translations I got were: "QUAMVIS UBICUMQUE PEREGRINARI POSSIM COR MEUM LIMES ERIT or also QUAMVIS UBICUMQUE PEREGRINABOR COR MEUM LIMES ERIT" "fari quacumque ab at ambulo apud adytum arbitratus abeo abdera deerro." "Cor meum via erit quocumque faciam iter." Which of these translations is 'more accurate' so to speak, and what is the difference between them all?

Please translate the following Latin phrases for me...? You'll find them on American money (bills and coins). I posted this question because I don't know how many times some doofus thinks that one of these means "In God we trust" a motto that was introduced rather late in American history and not found on older coins like my 1878 American silver dollar in my collection. Here they are: E Pluribus Unum. Annuit Coeptis. [Which is taken from Virgil's Aeneid] Novus Ordo Seclorum Please also note that these phrases like the eye on the pyramid symbol on the dollar bill are part of Masonic lore. First correct answer gets the points! All three must be correct.
Could someone translate these Latin phrases into English for me? I tried an online translator, and it did me no good at all. These sentences come from an English translation of the Mahabharata that was done in like 1890. Apparently, these sentences were offensive to people back then, so they were rendered in Latin. I don't know what they say, so I apologize if they are crude! Semen tuum frustra perdi non potest. Quum auten jam cum illa coiturus esset,... Semen tuum perdi non potest. Ille tamen Muni [a Sage] qui in venture erat punctum temporis quo humor vitalis jam emissum iret providens, viam per quam semen intrare posset pedibus obstruxit. Semen ita exhisum, excidit et in terram projectumest. Thanks! oh geesh. The word that got bleeped out was spelled see - yu - em!

Latin translation of two phrases needed? Could someone translate the following two phrases into Latin? (I need them for a family crest): "We never pay full price" "New project, new tool" (this refers to home improvement projects) Thanks. When I said "Latin" I meant the language of the ancient Roman Empire, not Spanish. Sorry for the confusion.
Can anyone help me translate these Latin phrases? I have tried to piece together some sort of translation from online translators but haven't had much luck: though the results are amusing at times. I am doing a family crest art project for my Husband for our 2nd anniversary coming up, and want to know what our respective family motto means. If anyone can help translate it into english or shed any light on them at all, it would be most appreciated. Here it is: In Domino Spes Mea
