Latin phrases and quotes -=-= Strength - Power -=-=?

Hey guys, I would love some cool latin phrases to do with strength or power or anything real sweet for a tattoo. For example "My power is my strength" in latin. Anything would be appreciated. Thanx

  1. mi corazon es mi poder?" means "my heart is my power" it sounds better than what you where looking for
  2. Fortius quo fidelius = strength through loyalty Caelitus mihi vires = my strength is from heaven Ex fide fortis = from faith strength Nulli secundus = second to none Dominus mea est fortitudo = the Lord is my strength Potentia mea fortitudo mea est = my power is my strength Don't quote me on that last one as my latin is a little rusty but I think that is how you would say it. I think you can even drop a word out of the last phrase to read Potentia mea fortitudo est. Edit: You're right Alaric. I don't remember all the word order rules. But I'm pretty sure that it should be 'fortitudo' and not 'fortitude' as the word 'Potentia' is in the nominative case and the verb 'est' is a linking verb. But then again you could have more experience than me at this. It was very late when I wrote this.
  3. Pontentia mea fortitudo mea est has a typo in it. Should be Potentia. Also word order seems funny. Shouldn't it be Potentia mea fortitude est mea?
  4. emitur sola virtute potestas - power can be bought by virtue alone. Claudian potentissimus affectus amor (love, the most powerful passion) potius ingenio quam vi (by skill rather than by force) fortes fortuna adiuvat - fortune favors the strong (Terence) n.b: fortes can also mean "brave" so this can mean fortune favors the brave fortiter et fidelis - strong and faithful vis consilii expers mile ruit sua - strength lacking judgement collapses by its own weight - Horace fortis cadere, cedere non potest - the strong can fall, but they cannot yield
