- well expecto patronus isn't just in the 7th book, it's in most of them. and the meaning is actually more like "throw forth a guardian". As far as the meanings of the other phrases, you'll have to say which one's you want translated, because there's alot.
- I await a guardian. It's not imperativus, it's first person singular of the active present indicative.
- they have a book that translates all the latin in hary potter into english. you can get it at borders.
- whoa that is sooo cool! if i knew that expecto patromus ment that, it would never have taken me so long to figure alot of things out
- The Latin writing around the shield at the front of the book reads: "Never poke a sleeping dragon." :)
- Well, Expecto Patronum means : "I'm waiting for a guardian" And to translate all the spells is a lot of work, lol. Apart from about five spells they're all Latin! Which one do you want??
- i like this question. cool! well i found this page and its sooooo much. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spells_in_Harry_Potter check it out
