Generic Phrases

I need help with Prepositional Phrases?

I have a quiz tomorrow on Prepositional Phrases. I've studied very much over the last couple of days and such, but I still just don't understand it. I was hoping that that somebody here could help me out or link me to a place that would help me. It's important that I do well and asking my parents is not an option at the time. Thanks!!!

  1. Hope these help :)
  2. Prepositions just let you know more clearly the "where" of a sentence. In "We are going to the beach" to the beach is the phrase. It starts with a prep and ends with a noun. I tell my students that it is anything a worm can do to an apple or anything ants do in the kitchen--as far as location is concerned. Get your self a box, like a shoebox. Now put a pen in it, over it, under it, around it, etc. Then you will get the point. Hope that helps.
