  1. Well, a prepositional phrase is a group of words starting with a preposition: "at the close of a long day" "by the wayside" "over the next hill," and the like. Don't know what you mean by "adjective including adverb." These are two different types of words - an adjective cannot "include" an adverb. Maybe you mean "a prepositional phrase used as adjective and as an adverb." Prepositional phrase as adverb: He went home at close of business. Prepositional phrase as adjective: This procedure was by the book.
