What are Prepositional Phrases?

1. They are phrases that begin with a preposition: under the table on the counter over the door
2. prepositions are actually hard to describe. think about a cloud. you can be near the cloud, through the cloud, in the cloud, around the cloud, etc. prepositional phrases are just this: preposition+noun. like, "near the cloud." hard for me to explain. hope this helps at least a little.
