Italian Translation- Love Word & Phrases?

Can a native Italian or fluent Italian speaker suggest a few words or short phrases of love, family, or commitment? (Please no online translators; they tend to be slightly off). I want to put an Italian inscription into my fiances wedding band and am limited to 10 characters. I can only come up with "tesoro" on my own. I am Italian, second generation raised in the U.S.A., but unfortunately I don't speak Italian. Any creative suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Wow! Everyone has given so many answers! Thank you all. Artemide- I say that I'm Italian because that is my heritage. I wasn't allowed to learn the language because my grandfather suffered prejudice due to his accent and didn't want me to have the same difficulties. He tried very hard to bring his love of Italy and his culture to us and near to his death I believe he wished he had taught me the language(and I always wished I learned). I feel that generally, many people from the U.S.A. with families that have immigrated within a few generations relate strongly to the country from which the family line originated. My cousin actually spent many years and located our remaining family in Italy. But, I understand how a person from Italy might prefer a stronger distinction be made. :-)

3. If you can only use 10 letters, you are really limited for a phrase. How about "Per sempre" (for ever)? or "Amor eterno" (eternal love)?

5. You've a big limitation with only 10 characters. It can't be a complete phrase, just 1 or 2 words. Here's a short list : Solo io ! = Just me ! Solo tua ! = Only yours ! Solo tu ! = Only you ! Vita mia ! = My life ! Per sempre = Forever Amor mio = My beloved Amiamoci = Let's make love if not enough email me for suggestions in English and I'll translate for you.
6. amore ti amo :) that's 10 letters literally love I love you, you can translate it with I love you my love :) we use it in italian it's not a "forced" translation. ciao! :D
7. I think that Per sempre = Forever could be the best solutions. Anyway, I wouldn't say "I'm Italian"... if don't know the language!!! (It's a pity they did'nt teach you your "orignal" language, isn't it?) Maybe I'd say: My grandparents were Italian... Sorry.
