Is there a difference between the phrases "i love you" and "im in love with you? If so what are they??????

- Well if you just think about the surface of the meaning there probably isn't a difference. But if you go more in depth you can see that "I love you" is more present. Like "I currently love you" or something like that. But "I'm in love with you" is like the love is something you can't get out of. Because you're in love and there's nothing you can do about it.
- I agree with Mia
- "im in luv w/ u" isnt as special as "i luv u"
- You can say you love your family and friends but you're not in love with them. It's a different kind of love. You don't love them in a sexual and intimate way as you would you're partner.
- well... a lot of people use "i love you" for family and close friends and keep "im in love with you" seperate for someone that they have stronger feelings for. i know this sounds very "chic flichk" but believe me when the time comes you will know!
- I think there is a deff diference. I love you is more from them . I'm in love with you is more of a general statement. Like I think there is a difference between love you and I love you .
- "I'm in love with you" normally indicates romantic love whereas "I love you" can mean either romantic love or familial love.
