  1. Yes, the TOS are blurry at best, and it seems the Yahoo staff makes up their own guidelines as they go along. They allow the village idiots to run the village by childishly reporting any answer they do not agree with. Yahoo becomes fascist when they make up a guideline out of thin air when you try to appeal that violation, and they didn't agree with the opinion either.
  2. .... and they have every right to do this. It's a website, if you don't like it, don't use it. I'd have problems if people started telling me how to run my website also.
  3. Lately Yahoo Answers started removing very much legitimate questions and answers which did not violated and/or offended anyone, but which criticize US, its government, George Bush, evil Republican Neocons, etc. Many people believe that it happens solely because other users keep reporting. However as I learned it is not always the truth. As it appears that somehow "The Big Brother" got involved in Yahoo Answers. Yahoo Answers in their ads induce and solicit people to participate and to ask any questions. Ones people do all of a sudden YA censors questions and answers and keep deleting them. To answer your question, I would say yes that so called "TOS" is nothing but fascism.
  4. The TOS are very vague, not fascist. The newest one especially, "solicitation". Anytime we ask a question we are technically soliciting. That means we can be "suspended" at yahoos whim. I don't report unless someone gets real nasty.
  5. I feel your pain. I have had numerous violations given to me for "insulting other particpants" when my response mentions no people at all! I have said "question is pointless" and that, according to yahoo, is insulting. The common theme though is they do it when I say anything negative to a post that is obviuosly Liberal in its opinion or nature. Its actually kind of funny! Then the cowards won't even justify their "ruling" and simply say to read the TOS. I under stand the TOS. I have even emailed them the definition of an insult, from the dictionary and asked them to tell me how that applies to whatever my post may be. They usually repsond with a threat to close my account down. Nice, HUH? So, to answer your question, yes, YA and its "rulers" are loaded with facists and liberal commies. Which is kind of ironic becuase they spend half their time complaining about their allegations that the Bush administration does the same thing! If only they knew how moronic and spineless they looked.... Certain areas on here should be censorship free. Most areas need to have rules and regs, but others should be a free fire zone, where people, of all beliefs and opinions can voice their opinions freely. Then again, YAHOO is the same company who recently gave the names of Chinese disedents to the Chinese govt. The Chinese govt then imprisoned these political dissenters, tortured them and a few have never been heard from since. So that is what you are dealing with...communist sympathisers and facists.
  6. As a private website, Yahoo can edit the content of their site at they see fit. Or would you rather have the government interfere and violate the first amendment because you don't like how YA enforces its rules.
  7. Yahoo is a privately owned entity. You are a guest on their site. They can set whatever rules they want. The TOS is vague enough where they can delete you if they want to and there is nothing you can do about it. I think their advertisers should know how Yahoo suspends people from their site and for what reasons.
  8. The TOS is vague In the last 1250 violations I have received only 3 or 4 were legitimate. The TOS offers options for truthful reporting Like poor spelling or improper use of English. But no one has ever reported me for that. Even tough I'm a left handed Vet that suffered a brain injury. The common violation is for not a question. That is what got me started on my signature ???
  9. It is not Fascism. YA is a corporation, not a government. They servers and the software which make this site possible are paid for through their own efforts at sales and marketing. Since not a single penny of your tax dollars helps to keep this site going, you have no voice in what rules or policies are established by those who created it. What you do have is freedom of choice, to either visit and accept the rules or kick rocks and go somewhere else.
