- A native of where?
- A native to where?!
- alright mate, hows it hanging?
- fancy a fcuk?
- OK who's first to say it?
- 'Ich bien ein McCann Supporter'?? Just to see if it really sticks in your mouth!
- you haven't explained the native part
- sau alright m8 how r u
- You've not had much help have you? how about 'i think it's my round' no one can complain about that or 'what about this weather, it can't make up it's mind' old people like this one, 'have you been waiting long' at any bus stop 'kids today' again good for old people, depends who you want to small talk with really though
- - How's it going? - What's new? - Been waiting long? - How's the food here? (while waiting at a restaurant) - Your kids are so cute (while conversing w/parents of young kids - Seen any good movies lately? When making small talk with an American, just say what you would say for small talk in Germany, only say it in English. Talk about the weather, politics, sports, entertainment or whatever - just say whatever you can to get a conversation going. Now if you are trying to pick up on a woman here in the U.S., here are some definite phrases NOT to say: - Where have you been all my life? - What's your sign? - I lost my phone number - can I have yours? - Your place or mine? - Today is your lucky day. - There must be a fire somewhere because you sure are smokin'. Most women I know (and of course I am one) prefer when a man just starts a conversation and avoids using cheesy pick up lines. Most of us value intelligence and a sense of humor and if a guy comes off as a sleaze, that is a total turnoff.
